Hello, Over the last couple of months my 4-month-old PC has been acting strange. Both screens would suddenly go dark while the machine remained on. A forced restart helped but usually nothing else happened except lights coming back. My friend and I tried several fixes: turning it off and on, unplugging and replugging everything, sending it in for an RMA, replacing the GPU, swapping RAM, disassembling and reassembling it, and switching from Windows 10 to Windows 11. I’m past the refund window and don’t want it gathering dust. Any advice on what to check or replace would be great. Key specs: AMD Ryzen 9 7900X, 16 cores, Aorus X670 Elite, Corsair Vengeance, 64GB DDR5-5200, CL40 ZOTAC, RTX 3090, 24GB Corsair RX850W, 80+ Gold PSU, running Windows 10 or 11.

The BIOS version on the listed motherboard was the latest available. Crashes were triggered by applications such as Steam VR, Blender, Stardew valley, Vortex mod manager, Gigabyte's motherboard software, Firefox, Windows itself, and Nvidia Driver installer. Several drivers remained current at different times, yet the problem persisted across multiple installations.

Have you found a solution for your issue? I’m facing comparable challenges with my build too. Frequent shutdowns occur even when the system is lightly loaded. The problem persists despite using a 4090 GPU instead of an RTX 3090.

It's disappointing to find this discussion has few responses. My experience is the same. I play games casually, then experience random crashes roughly twice daily. The machine is brand new and still functions normally until it shuts down. Others have reported similar problems, claiming the motherboard is faulty, but they can't get the system into Windows. My build arrived in late May, and I was away for a while before testing it again. I’m hoping I won’t need to return any parts and that if I do, there’s some kind of warranty available. Build details: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/KYryGL I turned off XMP after the first incident since many suggest DDR5-6000 struggles with it, but the problem continues. The absence of a blue screen makes me think about software or overheating issues, though I’m not very comfortable with computers since 2013.
