Her roommate's PC had been active the previous night, playing Overwatch and chatting on Discord. During a match, she encountered the blue screen of death. After restarting, it would occasionally boot up, then fail repeatedly—sometimes showing a display after a few attempts, sometimes not at all. When unplugged, it would sit and eventually turn on properly. It crashed again on the fourth try, then worked fine afterward and ran well for over an hour. The seventh attempt left the screen off despite multiple tries and checks of ports and monitors. Connecting the main hard drive to another machine resolved the issue, allowing it to boot and load programs normally. They're still unsure about the next steps.

What are the specifications of this system? Have you attempted to start with the simplest hardware configuration? Did you try resetting the BIOS settings?
