TeamGroup Argb RAM 3900x4 Stick

You have an X470 fatalty K4 from ASRock with four 8GB TeamGroup Argb sticks. The RAM slots are labeled A1, A2, B1, B2. After clearing CMOS and keeping two sticks in A2 and B2, the PC should boot up. Your older 1600X runs smoothly with this setup.

Insert the previous CPU and attempt a BIOS upgrade. It seems a newer CPU only supports dual-channel, which is why I’m focusing on BIOS.

the bios is currently up to date. 3.70 from asrock. it feels odd each time i use the 4 sticks—no postcode appears. i’m trying to reset the CMOS, install the two sticks, and then it should work.

Have you explored every stick across all settings, including 1, 2 (the ones that function in dual and boot), then 1 again, 3 when adding two for 4 RAM, in dual, and finally 1 and 4 if one stick is slightly off?

It attempted to install it in a1 and a2, but the system wouldn't start. However, it did boot successfully on a2 and b2, or when using a2 as a single stick.

The manual highlights specific RAM options for particular CPUs and speeds, so it's worth reviewing that information too.

regrettably the documentation doesn't mention Matiese for the 3900x, yet it feels odd because 1600x functions perfectly

Sorry mate now i know its a 3900x according to everything i seen they dont support quad channel. Dual is cheaper and quicker apparently! So there ya go
