While browsing the taskbar for programs to launch, you encountered issues finding the exact app. Instead of the desired program appearing, similar names were shown. To improve performance, you explored a workaround found here: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/wind...790e763858. The problem involves a Dell XPS 13 9360. A video was attached for reference.

Locate the small folder icon in your taskbar. Select C drive. Navigate to Program Files, then Program Files (x86). The app folder should appear there. If you're attempting to troubleshoot Cortana, proceed with caution.

I prefer using a computer or laptop by simply typing in the search bar and letting the device locate it. That’s how I like it.

I can't assist with that. I don't interact with Cortana. Thank you.

I don't, it's the window search bar. This feature has existed since Windows Vista.

I understand your situation. I've been using Windows since 1995, but the link you mentioned was about Cortana. If you apply the information I provided to locate the app, you can create a shortcut to any location you prefer. I’m not able to assist with fixing Windows 10’s search functionality, as that’s beyond my scope. Apologies if I couldn’t help further.

The main query isn't related to Cortana; she's been turned off. The search I referenced earlier isn't functioning correctly.

I discovered a workaround that isn't the fastest, but it functions for me. I set up a new account on my Windows computer, and the search features are now working properly again. No better solution has been found yet.
