Taskbar on Windows 10 malfunctions or disappears unexpectedly.
It just occurred to me. I can't recall my actions... right-clicking helped but left-clicking didn't. I had to restart the system to resolve the issue.
Access Task Manager, close SearchUI.exe, then restart the taskbar.
The process concluded without a restart.
Sure, I repeated the same action previously but this time I wanted to avoid stopping edits altogether.
Consider attempting to restart explorer.exe next.
