Is there any reason behind the disappearing icons behind your taskbar and the fading visual quality of those icons? This issue seems consistent across different systems and is mainly a cosmetic problem, which makes it hard to fix. However, the icons vanishing when you hover or interact with them is really bothersome. It might be connected to EVGA PrecisionX OC, but I’m looking for guidance on troubleshooting. Searching the web isn’t helping—it keeps redirecting me to system icons instead of useful advice.

It seems another source is responsible for the icon issue.

I'm not sure about the tools you're using. Are there any special programs or methods you rely on to keep your system running smoothly?

I’m not sure what’s happening yet, but it seems the issue might be related to leftover files or settings from the Adobe install. Could you tell me more about the symptoms and when they started?

Long ago, I thought programs like CCleaner could fix anything, but I ended up messing up icons too. After reading more, I learned about the registry and how systems work, so I stopped using those tools. Now I recommend cleaning caches, registry entries, and icons too. Give your system a break for a while; it might fix itself. I’m not certain, but this advice is safe and simple.

I understand your perspective, but the issue existed before you started using CCleaner. I suspect I'm facing the same problem again after eliminating my initial concern about the EVGA PrecisionX.

Remove the cache from the tray icon area. This tip applies to Windows 7, though the registry path remains consistent.
