Hi there! Over the last while, every time I launch Windows the taskbar keeps glitching for a few minutes before it suddenly works. It stays unresponsive, even shortcuts using the Windows key fail. The desktop looks blank and doesn’t react. While other apps like Task Manager, File Explorer, and Chrome still function, everything else seems to be working fine. The Event Viewer gives more details, showing errors for explorer.exe until the issue clears. I've looked through online solutions for both the taskbar flickering and explorer.exe problems, except for a full Windows reinstall, but nothing fixed it. I tried the sfc /scannow command, which reported some corrupted files, yet nothing changed. The problem keeps occurring even after a clean boot, but not in Safe Mode. I’m not sure if that helps, but I don’t think I’m the best person for this.

GPU driver problem or your program is talking to the Taskbar. Remove it—should work now.

I've already attempted to reinstall my GPU drivers multiple times, so I believe that's not the problem. Can you help identify a possible cause by focusing on a specific component? Even after a clean boot with all settings turned off, the issue persists.

I just realized I can't install Windows updates, and now I'm really motivated to fix it. Every restart tells me the issue persists, and I've seen the error code 0x80070020 pop up. None of the solutions I found online have helped so far.

I spent several weeks working with tech-savvy friends to fix the issue, but eventually decided to completely reinstall Windows following their advice. It was a tough process, but it resolved the problem.
