Taskbar appears in white color.
Hello, I installed the newest ISO from Microsoft onto my USB drive, which is version 1903. When I put it on my laptop, the taskbar appears white. I've experimented with different themes, but they only work if I've adjusted the settings correctly. The original USB with version 1809 still causes the taskbar to be black, while this new one makes it white. What should I do? Thank you.
Adjust your appearance: Pick a custom color for your Windows setting. Default options include Dark or Light. The taskbar will adapt to match your chosen theme, with Light being the standard setting.
Microsoft made a big mistake with 1809. The situation gets worse on touchscreens since you can't use a dark keyboard without also enabling a dark theme. They've consistently failed to deliver reliable language support since Windows 8. I'm going to reverse the problem and tackle the annoying language switching toolbar issues. The same trend is happening with themes—people are pushing dark mode too hard, ignoring established interface standards. It's just a bunch of black menus, really.
Before I had a blue taskbar and start. And a dark keyboard. Now I’m stuck with a blue taskbar and start, plus a white keyboard that burns my eyes. If you really want a dark keyboard, just use dark mode on your whole Windows. Thanks Microsoft.
I just want my dark taskbar back. The white one looks really bad. Hopefully someone fixes it soon; the "start, taskbar, and action center" are all grayed out. Edit: dark mode is working now, but that's not great.
