Enable the auto-hide feature for the taskbar and then deactivate it.
It functions properly initially, but upon restarting it fails to retain changes and restarts as before.
Isn't this supposed to appear at the top? Unless a program explicitly needs to stay there? Also, the large font without proper spacing makes reading difficult. Are you asking if the issue is when the program appears under the taskbar after maximizing, or if the taskbar stays visible when you move a program down? The latter seems intentional, but the former should be avoided. If auto-hiding the taskbar helps, try toggling it once, rebooting, then toggling again and restarting. Alternatively, unlock the taskbar, adjust its size, and return to your preferred setting—sometimes that locks in the change. Windows can behave unpredictably at times.
