Has anyone tried the TaoTronics Mesh Wi-Fi system before? In particular, has anyone experimented with the VPN configuration? I purchased this router on Amazon after doing some research and noticing that most users say it handles everything well. My current ISP router performs poorly on WiFi and is limited to their own mesh network. Switching to modem mode resolved the issue, and now I’m setting up a VPN using L2TP/IPSec with the provided PSK settings. So far, I’ve tried two VPN services that support L2TP and even reached out to their support teams, but nothing has worked. On the Wi-Fi front, this product is highly recommended—we now enjoy full speeds throughout the house. Any feedback or experiences?

Just got it and I’m running into minor setup hiccups, but I think the problem might be from not connecting directly to the first router for configuring the node. I’m hoping this works smoothly since I’ll be using multiple switches in between and only acting as a bridge. Honestly, these don’t seem like the standard Router+Node configuration—they look more like two separate routers. That’s impressive value, especially considering they came for $160 on Amazon Warehouse. I’m not very familiar with VPN setups with them, since I won’t be using that feature and am currently relying on my AP and a built pfsense router.
