Hi everyone,
I’ve been conducting several in-game benchmarks due to stuttering issues in various titles, even though my average FPS seems stable.
To gain clearer insights, I examined:
- average FPS
- 1% lows
- frametime consistency
- overall frame pacing

In numerous test sessions, FPS stayed fairly consistent, but noticeable frametime spikes appeared, matching the times when gameplay felt less smooth.
It doesn’t seem like a clear CPU or GPU limitation is present, which helps explain the problem.
My focus remains on:
- how others analyze comparable benchmark outcomes
- additional metrics beyond FPS you typically consider
- whether certain settings, drivers, or background processes might affect frametime stability

Feel free to share more about the test configuration or results if you’d like.

It's not obvious what hardware you're using.
Stuttering usually happens because a vital resource is missing temporarily.
Check for other tasks with higher priority that might be active.

Thank you for your feedback.
I was also considering this. In the benchmark images I run a test using a normal system. I found an online performance engine and decided to try it, and the results are positive for me—specifically with the Voltex performance engine. I tested it on various games and two different PCs. The Voltex performance engine also indicated that higher FPS isn't always better, but it's more about overall system stability. What are your thoughts on this based on the benchmark results?

Some details can be inferred from the images shared, but please revise your post to add complete hardware specifications and operating system information.
PSU: make, model, wattage, age, condition (original to build, new, refurbished, used)?
Disk drive(s): make, model, capacity, current usage?
List of all connected peripherals.
Network type: wired or wireless?
Further information is required to fully understand and resolve the stuttering problems.

The exact games leading to the problem would be useful too.
I only have one game that causes major stuttering: STALKER 2. I think it's due to traversal lag because it's an open-world game with persistent NPCs (the NPCs don<|pad|>, unlike in games such as GTA V).
