Hi All
I own a high-performance gaming laptop from Metabox (made by Clevo). After a year of use, I ran some benchmarks in novabench and was surprised to see the score had decreased. I noticed novabench is showing a lower CPU clock speed, but even more concerning, a major drop in storage performance. Can anyone assist me in figuring out what’s happening? My latest score is recent, while the one from over a year ago is outdated.

I see your concern about the drop, but it doesn’t appear to be a major issue. It might be due to small variations like a "margin of error" (some + or - percentage) or changes in storage usage. Alternatively, additional disk space could have been taken up. There may be other factors involved. Please update your post with detailed system information such as hardware specs, operating system, PSU details, disk drive specifications, and a list of connected peripherals. Also, note the network type (wired or wireless).

It seems like you're planning to test for variance, and storage performance can be significantly influenced by the operating system and background applications.

Beyond the sequential write speed of the SDD, all other variations are small and within acceptable limits. For the SSD, it seems the write cache isn't activated on that device. Or perhaps it's already at capacity.
