Talk about dual booting! Running Windows 11 Home and Windows 11 Pro side by side on two different internal SSDs.
Hello everyone! I'm trying to configure dual boot with Windows 11 Home and Windows 11 Pro on two distinct internal SSDs. One SSD is intended for work (Windows 11 Pro), the other for home use and gaming (Windows 11 Home). My laptop already has Windows 11 Home installed on the first SSD, so what should I do next?
I'm still getting the hang of this setup and would really appreciate some advice. I've already opened the case to install the SSDs. To be honest, I'm not sure how to proceed properly.
Additionally, I have questions about hiding or disconnecting the home SSD when launching Windows 11 Pro on the work SSD—should it remain hidden or accessible? Also, I want to know if it's feasible to run two versions of Windows 11 with a license key installed on one laptop at the same time. Could this cause any problems?
Start from the Windows installation media and set up Windows on the second drive.
Please remember to obtain two Windows licenses for having both Windows 11 Home and Windows 11 Pro on the same computer.
You might install two copies of Windows 11 Home with the same license.
Once installed, you can detach the drive letter from other Windows drives, making it inaccessible.
