If it isn't necessary, upgrading seems unnecessary. The 5700X3D continues to perform adequately.
several adjustments would be necessary. the 5700x3d offers good value for gaming, but other areas would be missed. i’d also mention that a b550 board would be preferable for nvme 4.0 and 3.0, as well as pci 4.0 x16, since unlocking them is possible. placing games on an nvme drive enables direct storage if supported. on the b450, you’re essentially using a 4060 that’s already capped, which operates at 4.0 x 8 lanes and uses 3.0 x 8 lanes. pci 4.0 x8 slots deliver about 15.75 GB/s, compared to 7.88 GB/s for pci 3.0 x8.
I don’t feel confident enough in the news sources to grasp their content accurately, and I’m unsure if they’re still active or discontinued.
The Asus Prime X570 Pro boards are top-notch. I've always thought they were B550+ models. Amazon typically handled returns without any issues from the warehouse.
