System Won't turn on
I realized I needed to update the BIOS on this board (GIGABYTE B650M Elite AX) before using it with my 9800x3d. I followed the instructions for Q-flash before connecting any hardware. Everything appeared to function correctly and everything was fine. After installing the CPU, RAM, fans, and cooler, the system failed to power on. When I turned the switch on the PSU, the purple lights on the bottom right of the motherboard briefly lit up but then turned off. No diagnostic lights appeared. My keyboard and mouse still received power after the lights disappeared for a moment, but nothing else occurred—fans didn’t move and the monitor didn’t respond. I attempted to use the RST button and cleared the CMOS with a jumper, but the issue persisted. I tried Q-flash again, this time connecting everything and using F30 instead of F33a. After holding the Q-flash button for a few seconds, the system showed some activity—fans started and the pump began running, and the BIOS update completed successfully. After confirming it was done and waiting about 30 seconds, I powered off the system, removed the USB, turned it back on, and the same problem reappeared. Notably, during the second Q-flash attempt, the CPU light remained on even though the CPU was properly seated in the socket. I’m unsure what to do next. So far, I haven’t connected a GPU or SSD.

Searching for the motherboard, currently there are a few revisions. Did you confirm you selected the correct BIOS version from your board's support site?
Are the RAM slots A2 and B2 filled? You may want to check the CPU socket for any bent or damaged pins. Regarding pins, if you're using a cooler that needs securing, let go of pressure from its mount until it only rests on the CPU socket. Bent pins can stop your system from starting.
Talking about platforms, did you test the setup before putting everything together?
Updated the post to display all my specifications.
I'm using the BIOS version 1.3 that I own, sourced directly from the gigabytes website. I'm working with slots A2 and B2. I verified there were no bent pins before installation, though I might need to check again later. I relieved some pressure on the CPU but plan to try more. My system is currently outside the case, laid out on a bench.
