System with broken windows in Windows 10
About a year and a half ago I created two systems using identical parts for light office and browsing tasks. They ran well with an I3-6100 and an AsRock H170 Pro4, powered by a VS450 Corsair supply. For roughly six months they operated smoothly until one system began to freeze during Windows 10 installation. It would load the OS but then become stuck indefinitely. Despite many attempts—changing OS versions, older Windows editions, various drives and SSDs—I couldn’t resolve it. Eventually I replaced both the motherboard and power supply, restoring full functionality after a clean install. Using a different PSU or motherboard resolved the issue completely. Now, a year later, the second system is experiencing similar problems and appears significantly unstable. Any advice would be appreciated?
