About a month ago I changed a few parts. Everything was functioning well until tonight. My PC is now restarting on its own. It shuts down, then emits some sounds before restarting again. I swapped out the power supply, CPU, motherboard, and RAM. I also went through a return process at Amazing to replace them, but I double-checked to make sure I didn’t overlook anything. My guess is it’s the power supply, though I don’t have concrete evidence.
Turn off the power supply and remove the CMOS battery for five minutes. Reinsert it and power on. Confirm the RAM is placed in slots A2 and B2 on the motherboard.
Attempted a fix but the problem persisted. Had to dismantle it today and discovered the 24-pin wasn’t properly seated in the PSU, so kept restarting because it would unplug and reset again.
