Fallout 4 can leverage multiple cores depending on the system configuration. It typically uses around 4 to 8 cores, though exact usage varies with load and settings. At maximum RAM capacity, it can handle up to 16GB or more, depending on your machine. For 60Hz 2160p graphics without mods, aim for at least 16GB of VRAM to maintain smooth performance.

Fallout 4 was built for four cores, and it seems few titles make full use of more than that. Having six or more would be great for things like Discord, but don’t stress too much about VRAM—Fallout 4 at 4K typically needs around 6GB, so an 8GB max is safe. Most games at 4K usually require about 10GB or less.
