Hey everyone!
My r7 2700x seems to be showing its age in certain games, so I thought it was time for an upgrade. I'm thinking about getting a ryzen 7 5700x, paired with a b450 tomahawk max II, a Be Quiet! pure power 11 600w psu, and an RX6600xt with 32gb ram.
Will the cpu be limited in 1080p at 144hz? If yes, should I upgrade to a 6700xt?
If I need to upgrade, can my current psu handle the system?
Thanks for reading and looking forward to your answers! 🙏

If this pertains to gaming, consider opting for a 5700X3D or 5800X3D based on availability. This will likely be your final upgrade for that motherboard. Choose the top CPU to ensure longevity. I recommend checking the benchmark and making your own decision. Working with AMD FSR3 is another possibility.

If so, should I consider upgrading to a 6700xt?
You'll notice only a small improvement; if necessary, opt for the 7800XT instead.
With 32gb of RAM, what is your RAM type and model?
If you're planning an upgrade, will your current PSU support the system?
How recent is your PSU?
It would be compatible with a B450 Tomahawk Max II.
When upgrading the CPU, ensure you have the latest BIOS version.

Kingston fury beast ddr4 32gb 3200mhz (4x8gb).
About a year old.
Unfortunately, it's quite expensive—around 100k HUF, not counting the GPU (which is roughly 250€ or 270$).
Would you consider a 7700xt instead?
