MSI Ace z790 3080 just wrapped up my initial setup and moved on to installing the operating system. I obtained a product key (maybe it’s not the issue?) and downloaded the Windows media installer onto a USB drive. I noticed Windows trying to register me, but the main hurdle was reaching the "connect to the internet" screen—it was blank, meaning I couldn’t enter my router’s information or see any network signal. I checked Wi-Fi and Ethernet; the Ethernet cable worked after reinserting it into the PC. Now I’m stuck without clear guidance, having spent hours searching with no results.

Update your network and Wi-Fi drivers before installing the USB drive. After Windows boots up, open Command Prompt by typing 'cmd' and run 'ipconfig'. Check the IP address—should it show a range like 169.x.x.x? That indicates Windows isn't assigning a static IP. It should use DHCP or be in the same network range as your existing PC. You can add your router's address in a browser and try connecting from both computers. Logging into the network usually doesn’t require any extra steps beyond the standard login process.

You can set up Windows offline. Refer to the instructions on the specified site for guidance. Once installed, transfer your motherboard drivers to a USB drive and add network drivers as needed.

Adjusted certain drivers, likely the Intel ones. She seems to be progressing well now. Thanks everyone!
