PC Specifications: RTX 4090 TRIO, X Ryzen 7 5800x, 32GB DDR4, 3600MHz, 850W PSU. The problem appears in certain games, causing crashes without warning. Initially suspected a power supply issue since I’m using 850W with a relatively new 4090. Despite normal usage in most games, two titles—The Finals and Enshrouded—trigger instant shutdowns. My steps to reproduce are consistent: launch game, play for a set duration (usually under 20 minutes), then everything freezes abruptly followed by a hard restart. I play many games, but these two consistently cause issues. The PSU is two months old, and all other components seem fine. Possible causes could include driver conflicts or an event viewer error labeled as 'unexpected shutdown' with the 'gameinput' service flagging it as normal. These timestamps match any assistance you seek—thank you!

It appears to be a power supply unit, possibly a PSU. It seems the issue might relate to overheating or performance. Your CPU and GPU temperatures are being checked at idle and under load. You haven’t mentioned any synthetic stress tests like Cinebench or MSI Kombustor.

1. Consider reducing voltage and lowering clock speed on the GPU to fully identify the PSU issue.
2. Reinstall the GPU, CPU, and RAM.
3. Look into a Steam forum thread suggesting to turn off XMP settings if enabled.
4. Monitor temperatures to confirm the PC isn’t overheating, just in case these games are contributing.
