System unexpectedly stops during gameplay.
Looking for someone to assist in understanding why your PC abruptly powers off during gaming sessions. The issue occurs after roughly 30 minutes and results in a sudden black screen with no restart. It also triggers crashes in non-intense games such as Rocket League. This has been happening for about eight months now. Before investing in parts, I’d appreciate any insights you can offer. Thanks! Also, I’m seeing numerous error codes 10016 in the event viewer. Specs: GPU – MSI RX470, CPU – i7-8700k, Motherboard – MAG Z390, RAM – 24GB Hyperx Fury, PSU – Corsaid RM750x (bought hoping it would help but didn’t), OS – Windows 10 Pro.
I’d first think about graphics card driver issues since you have an AMD card. Did you check the temperatures while gaming? If not, try installing MSI Afterburner, crank up the fan speeds to max, and observe if crashes occur later than usual. *I rarely help when I see AMD graphics (because their drivers are terrible), but your avatar worked for me*
This setup is definitely a POS unit. Temperatures were climbing to around 92°C, but turning the fans fully didn't significantly change things—they were already near 96%. I'm searching for a 3060 TI to replace it, but everyone seems to be grabbing them. I'll have to put in more effort. Thanks for the support; the photo really helped convince me!
