I'm experiencing some problems with my PC lately. It crashes randomly, especially when idle or while scrolling, but gaming runs smoothly. After checking the event log, I notice a message appears before every shutdown. Most people mention high temperatures causing issues, but in my case the CRT temperature is only 294K (~20°C). I've tried a clean OS reinstall, memory testing with MemTest86, and DDU diagnostics, but nothing resolved it. My specs are: 256GB SSD, Ryzen 5 5900X, 32GB RAM, 16GB LPDDR4X GPU, powered by Corsair SF750, running Windows 11. I have some log screenshots attached.
Using the newest BIOS and the most recent AMD chipset drivers (the version released about ten days ago that resolves certain BSOD and black screen problems)
For your BSODs, check Event Viewer and grab an info item to investigate. Instead of the critical error above??? Is Windows Auto-Update enabled? What’s changed recently? Use Speccy and review temperatures.
This serious warning simply indicates my computer stopped abruptly without warning. It suggests the fault lies elsewhere, as shown in the images you shared. I’m running Windows Update, but the problem persists even after a fresh install. The issue began during gameplay with M&B Bannerlord, freezing completely while only that game was running. Afterward, my PC would freeze even when idle, restarting itself without a BSOD. Temperatures are about 50°C on the CPU and 40°C on the GPU.
However, unless it's at least a yellow warning, it isn't considered for shutdown. Data is similar to this: here are the logs you requested. Not here is the issue with the critical error above. Also, have you tested real-world temperature readings using any app?
