System unexpectedly shuts down.
Hi, after using this setup for nearly two years, my PC stopped turning on suddenly. At first, there was no indication of power being delivered—no signal through the motherboard USB and CPU cooler lights off. I suspected a power supply issue, so I replaced it with a new one and reconnected everything. Now the CPU cooler is working and the keyboard lights up via USB, but the PC still won’t power up. I attempted to jump the power button headers using a flat screwdriver, which didn’t help. Clearing the CMOS also didn’t resolve the problem. Any advice? Specs include an Intel i5 8400, NZXT Kraken Z63, ASROCK H300-itx/ac motherboard, GTX 1070, 16 GB DDR4 RAM, two 1TB Samsung drives, and a Corsair 750 PSU in a NZXT H200 case.
When powering it up, do the LEDs blink before it boots? Do the fans begin rotating? Have you checked if removing all USB devices and other connectors except the 24-pin, CPU power and GPU auxiliary ports works? Observe its behavior. If there are LEDs on the motherboard, examine where they appear—close to the RAM suggests a RAM problem, near the CPU indicates a CPU issue, etc. Edit: If the issue relates to RAM, try testing each slot individually. If it's a CPU problem, it might be a new processor.
