Hello, I recently purchased a new Asus Zenbook Pro (UX535LI-E2018T). It has been excellent, but today it unexpectedly shuts down while I’m using the device—such as when moving the mouse, typing, or watching videos. After checking Event Viewer, the cause appears to be SC_MONITORPOWER. It seems to trigger every half hour, usually around 8:30 and 8:00, and sometimes earlier at 3:11 and 3:41. The screenshot attached provides more details. I’ve narrowed the view to only kernel-related events, but it’s worth noting that closing the laptop lid occasionally also seems to cause it. If your sleep timer is set for 10 minutes, this pattern might be related. Let me know if you need further guidance.

I own a Dell Precision 5560 running the same issue. It doesn't pause for any typical delay, just repeatedly triggers "The system is entering connected standby Reason: SC_MONITORPOWER." and locks during operation. The registry entries show no changes to power settings or platform controls.

I encountered a user with a Dell Precision 5760 experiencing the same problem. It's promoted via Dell's "ExpressSign-in" function. The solution involves disabling it through Dell Optimizer: https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us...to-quickly.
