System unexpectedly powers off and restarts during gameplay.
Hey everyone, my computer often shuts down unexpectedly when under heavy use. It seems to happen only when a specific game runs, which made me suspect an HDD issue since it’s quite old. I replaced the drive and set up a RAID 1 configuration in Windows, but the problem persisted. I tried reseating the GPU, assuming it might be loose over time, but my drivers were already current. I also attempted to flash the BIOS, but it appears to trigger an error when accessing the support page for my motherboard. My system has partial usage, here’s the full spec list: - AMD Ryzen 5 1600U (used, great condition, purchased last year.) - Nvidia GTX 980Ti (used, solid condition, bought in December 2019, paired with an old FX 8350.) - ASUS Prime B450-A (new purchase) - Ballistics DDR4 RAM (16GB, 2x8GB, 2666MHz) (new) - EVGA 650GS Supernova "Gold Standard" PSU (650W, new in 2015) - Samsung 850 EVO 250GB (new, purchased 2015) I think the issue might be software-related, as everything worked smoothly before. It could be that my PSU is drawing too much power. I’m unsure how to verify this. Thanks for your support. No, it's more than just a CPU benchmark. It evaluates various components and performance aspects.
You should check each one individually and keep an eye on temperatures. You can use various methods to track temps effectively.
