Hey! I'm trying to figure out what's going on with my new gaming setup. After assembling everything, the system didn't start at all—no fans, no lights, no LEDs. First I thought it was a bad power supply, but that worked out since my old rig ran fine. Then I considered the motherboard and BIOS. I downloaded the latest BIOS from MSI and followed their instructions to flash it. During the process the board came up but the EZ debug LED stayed red, saying the CPU wasn't detected. What should I do next? Should I try reseating the CPU or check if the undetected one is actually causing the problem? Thanks!
I checked the pins in the socket; they appear to be in good condition from every perspective. The underside of the CPU looks intact as well. I plan to install the cooler and attempt the installation again.
I'm not sure how you managed to get the board up and running with just an USB drive. It seems like you might be using a different GPU or IGPU setup. The BIOS update probably didn't work as expected. You might have connected it incorrectly. Updated on September 30, 2023 by leclod
I set up the USB drive for BIOS flash and connected it to the correct USB port in the I/O Shield. According to the instructions, I pressed the BIOS flash button as specified. After that, both the AIO fans and the PSU fan began spinning. It took about two minutes before the system shut down. The manual mentioned that BIOS flash could also work without the CPU—worth a try maybe. I didn’t connect a GPU, so I expected the system to run without it.

Some component might be connected incorrectly throughout the entire system.
You recently reinstalled the AIO, but it doesn’t respond at all when you press the power button. You also checked the power switch to see if it was broken.
