my desktop is typing 4 or left arrow every few seconds(depending if NUM lock is on or off) and i cant find the cause of it i cant remember when it started exactly tho It only affect when using any built in software in windows or a media player. Doesn't affect me when playing games (as there is usually nothing assigned to the 4 on the num pad) but really bothers me when i'm typing. I ran scans and file checks- nothing strange found I unplugged everything (except power)- no difference Re-installed all the keyboard drivers- nothing I kinda want to avoid a reinstall as right now i got 1.5 TB of game installed and i don't want to sit there re-downloading all of it Any ideas?

You've likely placed your operating system and games on the same drive, which is risky. Storing games on a separate partition would have been better to avoid potential issues. Windows has always struggled with this setup. Have you considered using a different keyboard? It could simply be a malfunctioning device.

This should be the initial step before restoring everything, updating drivers, adjusting the system, etc. It's unusual but some individuals attempt to fix issues by reinstalling the operating system—seems like a quick fix for various problems. First, if your keyboard still malfunctions after unplugging, create a bootable Ubuntu USB and test it on another system. ONLY then, once everything works under Ubuntu, investigate the issue in Windows. If the problem persists after changing the keyboard or unplugging (and possibly other USB devices), you’ll know what’s wrong.

The issue resolved after changing monitors. It turned out the built-in eye tracker on my monitor had its 'task switcher' activated.
