I reviewed several benchmarks that included VALORANT on both my 4070 and 12600KF systems. Both games delivered impressive FPS, significantly higher than mine. It seems VALORANT is mainly CPU-intensive, so my CPU and GPU appear to be handling it well. I checked Cinebench R23, which gave me average results; Time Spy showed slightly above average; Userbenchmark revealed my RAM struggled a bit. Passmark’s test confirmed my RAM wasn’t the bottleneck either. My FPS in VALORANT ranged from 150 to 230 with low settings, and anisotropic filtering at 16x. Other tests were consistently 300-500 fps stable. CPU wasn’t overclocked, GPU was only slightly boosted, XMP was active, and speed was set at 3600MHz. VSync and G-Sync were disabled, while High Performance mode was enabled on power plans. Temperature readings stayed below 80°C, so heat isn’t the issue. Would upgrading my RAM or adding a second stick help? My specs: GPU 4070 MSI Ventus 3X, CPU i5-12600KF, cooler Deepcool AK400, three fans, stock coolers, x3 be quiet fans, light wings PSU, Thermaltake Smart BM2 750W, M.2 Gigabyte B760-M, WD Black SN850X SSD 1TB, Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD, case M-ATX, Deepcool Matrexx 40 3F RAM, operating system Windows 10 Pro 22H2. This problem seems consistent across many CPU-heavy titles like GTA V as well.

It seems like you're pointing out an issue with single-channel memory performance. Using dual-channel can significantly boost bandwidth, making a 3600MHz stick slower than lower-end 2400MHz models.

It might resolve the issue, but confirm compatibility and check for other underlying problems.

It could be possible, but really, avoid relying on only one stick of RAM.

Sure, I understand. It was the only option available at the time, and I didn’t bother to find two sticks. I plan to purchase 2x8 3200mhz ones once I’m paid, and I’ll let you know how it goes.

Check if XMP is activated before moving to 2 8Gb sticks, as the advantage is worth it.

I've confirmed XMP is active, and my speed is significantly slower compared to others with similar hardware but more RAM. It seems adding dual-channel memory might improve things.
