I'm considering upgrading my PC and the Ryzen 3700X was my initial pick, but the latest 3800X seems to offer more value. I'm unsure if the price difference is worth it compared to sticking with the 3700X.

Unless you intend heavy overclocking, opt for the 3700x.

Up until now, benchmark results have indicated only a very slight variation in performance for gaming. Additionally, the gap between a 3600 and 3700X is minimal, meaning investing in a more powerful GPU rather than saving on CPU power can be quite beneficial for a gaming PC.
