hey, this is regarding a pc i got some help building off of here from before. recently had some issues. windows ran an update in my sleep, woke up the next morning to my pc having random crashes in the form of: 1. primary monitor A and secondary monitor would go black, but 3rd would remain on, before completely freezing. restart automatically, then back to normal for anywhere between 5 minutes to 8 hours before crashing again. 2. primary monitor A and secondary monitor go black, computer freezes, then 3rd monitor spits out bluescreen before restarting. i've ruled out that its my cpu, psu, ssd's, and RAM thanks to my local tech shop. i have a suspicion its my primary GPU (the 4070 in my build) and its crashing for some reason. i've updated all the drivers, verified its installed, but the issue has continued to persist for about 3 weeks now. i've replaced the RAM, cpu is less than 2 months old. ssd's are healthy according to ssd checkers and such, and my psu was healthy when i had CPU issues a few months ago. i've taken my 4070 out and have the arc card as my primary card for now (check the parts list) and so far its working. not really sure if it is the gpu or not, and wanted some opinions and thoughts on it if its the issue or not. parts list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/JnK7Bq
Nvidia drivers have been problematic for a while, especially with recent Windows updates. You can use DDU to remove them and revert to a stable version you’re familiar with. Try running DDU in safe mode since the interface behaves differently then. After that, undo the updates—since replacing the GPU resolved most issues, you can focus on fixing the rest.
it was a security patch attempt to upgrade my GPU drivers. it didn’t work because of my unusual GPU configuration. I rolled it back, reinstalled Windows, and tried safe mode. So far nothing has resolved the issue except deleting my 4070. It’s been running smoothly for a few hours now, but I’ll confirm the fix after restarting or restarting twice tomorrow.

Occasionally the cause lies in an incorrectly connected GPU power cable. Make sure to refresh your BIOS and chipset drivers. I experienced a nearly identical issue a few months ago, and updating the chipset drivers resolved it.
Yeah, it isn't related to my BIOS or chipset drivers. I've already updated the BIOS and verified the chipset drivers. Looking into the admin event logs, I found that the Nvidia localsystem container was being terminated. It would attempt to restart the program after 6 seconds. My thought is that whatever is happening there is likely causing issues with my computer. Without the 4070 it hasn't crashed since then, but it keeps getting terminated every 6-10 seconds. It wasn't as common before removing the 4070, though it did occur when it was installed.
After further investigation, it seems these are the newest drivers. It appears some users faced problems with this on older NVIDIA GPUs, and now it’s reappearing. Could be due to my unusual GPU configuration, but I’m not sure. I’ll try installing an older driver version to check if that resolves the issue.
