System stops working and then the DRAM indicator appears
CPU model is AMD RYZEN 5 5600X, RAM consists of four 8GB Corsair vengeance sticks. GPU is Zotac RTX 3070 MOBO, built by Asus TUF Gaming B550-Plus. BIO information is 2803 (dated 4/27/2022). This machine has been in use for some time, but recently it crashed with the DRAM LED illuminated. After several troubleshooting steps and replacing RAM, issues resolved by disabling DOCP (AMD XMP). Since then it operates normally without crashes. Recently on YouTube, my screen and keyboard went dark again, DRAM LED lit up once more. The system was still on but unresponsive. After rebooting, it stayed running for a few minutes before crashing again. I reinserted the GPU and RAM, and it has been functioning properly for about ten minutes now. Memtest showed all four RAM sticks are healthy and no errors detected after a night check. Anyone have insights? Could the power supply be faulty, or is overheating the concern? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
The problem is that I'm testing it on the computer now, but it worked perfectly for months with this exact configuration. Running it on a single stick would have been fine again. Thanks for the suggestion!
Consider using memtest with two RAM sticks and running the test twice.
