System stops during gameplay yet fans and lights stay active
I’m experiencing a sudden shutdown where the lights and fans remain active for a few minutes without any video or sound. During this time I can’t power off or restart the system. Once it restarts, the BIOS doesn’t appear, even when I’m gaming. This only occurs during online sessions, especially when playing multiplayer. A video shows the incident around the one-minute mark. Previously, after about 30 minutes of training mode, everything worked fine—no problems even in the game. I’ve tried stress tests on GPU, power supply, and RAM, but none resolved the issue. The suggested fixes included RAM swaps, BIOS updates, and adjusting overdrive settings. I’m running low on funds and need clarity before replacing the motherboard.
1. Keep the PBO active. Without it, your CPU feels like any other.
2. Reduce game and video settings to Off or off. Observe performance.
3. Install the latest drivers.
4. Is the BIOS updated to the newest release or the version it came with? Which games are you playing?
