PC had been working perfectly fine for about 2 years since building, until everything stopped responding yesterday (even task manager and the windows button/taskbar), so I had to force a shutdown. Upon trying to boot back up, I was brought to BIOS, and could not get it to boot again. I've tried things such as resetting CMOS, disabling FastBoot, enabling CSM, restoring optimized defaults, and letting the power cycle by unplugging the power supply overnight. No luck yet. What are some other ways I could troubleshoot to fix or at least discover the issue at hand? Here's a quick list of the parts: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/wnMztn running Windows 10 64 bit.

Remove the CPU and reinstall it. The BIOS behaves differently after a replacement, so there might be issues you haven't seen before. You'll likely need new thermal paste. Try reseating the CPU without a fan first, then test if the system boots normally. If it does, turn it off right away and reapply thermal paste before putting the cooler back in.

I was planning to advise you to verify your SSD entries in the BIOS, as a failure—beyond just a dead drive—can hide them and lead to unexpected PC behavior. I reviewed your components and confirmed you have the Samsung 980 Pro. It looks like you haven’t updated the firmware, which might mean the drive is faulty or at least not booting properly. There’s a significant issue with it.

It seems the production date matches or precedes what Jay mentioned, so I might attempt a fresh Windows installation on my secondary drive after swapping it into the main slot. Since I have an M.2 to USB adapter, I think I could salvage some files and the product key from it, then try contacting Samsung for a replacement.

Verify the suspected faulty drive using your USB adapter first. If it functions correctly, it might indicate a BIOS setting issue. If not, please be sorry for the drive and consider installing Windows on the second slot without relocating it to the main port.

It looks like the adapter is working well with all files, but there might be another issue. I’ll make sure to update the firmware eventually if I can bypass the BIOS, thank you!
