System starts working only a quarter of the time
I assembled a fresh PC which sometimes fails to power on, causing the keyboard to light up and Bluetooth devices to appear connected while nothing displays on the screen. I must forcefully shut it down and then restart, but repeated attempts fail. The most consistent solution I've discovered is to clear static by disconnecting power and holding the power button for 30 seconds. This issue seems linked to using a Gen 3 GPU riser from the Dan Case A4-H2O, which I installed alongside my motherboard (Gigabyte X570SI Aorus Pro AX). My previous ASUS ROG Strix B550I Gaming model also experienced similar problems. Outside the case, the system functions normally without the riser, though testing has been limited. Is there a method to resolve this booting problem?
It seems the issue is probably with the riser cable. Have you reached out to the manufacturer of the case to request a replacement?
Make sure your motherboard is configured for Gen 3 only, not auto or any other preset. If problems persist even after setting everything to Gen 3, the riser cable might be damaged. Did you twist or kink the riser cable during installation or moving the components?
It functions well when used separately from the GPU, suggesting a problem might be with the cable or the enclosure. There could be a short in the case that affects the board. I suggest running a quick bench test and checking without the riser cable outside the case to confirm if the issue lies there.
I submitted a warranty request. I'll check if they can send a replacement for the riser.
