When powering up the PC, the CPU fan activates and the motherboard LED lights up. Beyond that, no further activity occurs—no display output, no keyboard or mouse illumination, and the chassis fan remains inactive (status uncertain). Continuing operation occasionally causes a restart after several minutes (insufficient testing). The 24-pin ATX connector shows normal output under load. Specifications include an i5-6500 processor, HD530 iGPU, 8GB DDR4 memory, 2TB HDD, and a 450W power supply. The issue began two weeks ago with random reboots without a blue screen. Attempts to run RAM tests via BIOS software caused repeated restarts. A safe mode boot revealed stable performance for a week before resuming. Recently, after waking from hibernation, the fan activated but no other signals appeared. After several days away, the PC returned to a boot screen listing all components and prompting BIOS setup, though keyboard input was unresponsive (keyboard LED stayed on). Restarts afterward repeated the same problem. Voltage readings across all connectors appear within acceptable limits. I attempted BIOS reset, power-down procedures, and charging the CMOS battery, but nothing resolved the situation. The PSU seems to function correctly under load yet fails silently when idle. It’s possible the power supply is faulty or has degraded, or there may be another hardware fault. All parts are at least six years old, and the PSU was purchased two years ago.

Do you have another power supply unit to evaluate? This appears to be a failing PSU, particularly due to slow startup and unstable booting.

I attempted to obtain something but wasn't able to locate it at the moment.
