The image shown is my LED debug light whenever I power on my computer. Even though the PC starts up correctly, my GPU doesn’t show anything after switching HDMI cables or using a different GPU (GT 1030 instead of 3060). My system runs an R5 5600 that I installed in Ryzen Master at 4.5 GHz because it wasn’t turboing well. Instead of changing the CPU turbo, I increased the base clock from 3.6 to 4.03. In BIOS I set the PCIe system generation to auto and adjusted the XMP profile from 2 to 1 without thinking it would help. I also turned off high decoding above 4Gb/s. The GPU I’m using is an MSI RX 3060, and my motherboard is a B550 gaming plus with 16GB of LPDDR5X at 3200MHz. Two drives are fine; they didn’t cause issues before. An OS update was applied yesterday, but it didn’t seem to affect the problem. My PC is using the latest Windows version from the March update, so I’m not sure if Windows itself is the issue. It might just be something simpler or even more serious.
the monitor is quite old. shining light on the screen can reveal any remaining image, and if the backlight isn’t working, it’s usually a straightforward fix with LED strips—just swap them out. if the display is completely dead, you might find a replacement board available at a low cost; the model number is clearly printed there for easy identification. this should help if you’ve already tried basic solutions.
