Motherboard model: ASUS B850m Max Gaming Wifi (BIOS v2.22.1284)
CPU: Ryzen 7 9800X3D
RAM: Trident Z5 Neo RGB 2x64
GPU: Radeon RX 7900XTX Sapphire Nitro+
Power Supply: Corsair SF1000 SFX Full Modular 1000W

Check compatibility with a 1x64 stick. If not, explore alternative channels. Occasionally it only works with one stick.

You also had to wait a considerable amount of time with memory training on the 2x64GB system. A 128GB RAM setup is quite substantial for consumer boards. The 7800x3D and 2x16GB configuration on the PC I assembled for my sister required only about 5 to 10 minutes for a full memory training session the first time around.

We haven't tested any alternative channels. We used only A2 for single sticks and both A2 and B2 for both. We changed the position of the sticks in the slots and also tried swapping them individually. Let the device operate for at least an hour without any outcome.

Consider trying A1/B1 and check what occurs.

In short: You've tested both options. The 2x64 functions on a known working machine but not on the Problem PC, while the 2x16 works there. The 2x64 fails on the Problem PC in any channel and when run alone. That matches what you're observing.

Uncertain about the exact BIOS release: possibly 2.22.1284, though likely not the newest version. Updated on February 11 by leclod

We checked the incorrect location for the BIOS version number, yet the newest BIOS update functioned. It's unclear what the original BIOS was.
