Hello, your new PC has been experiencing random restarts while gaming. The components include a Thermaltake 700w toughpower build with a Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3060, Corsair H100i 240mm AIO RGB, and MSI MPG B550 motherboard. RAM is 32GB RGB with a 4x8GB configuration, and you have NVMe storage.

Consider matching your RAM's SKU or part number with the QVL list for your board. I experienced instability during a recent build lasting four months, only to discover the RAM wasn't approved by the manufacturer. The same DIMMs failed in a test environment while the board was being returned for repair. It seems this issue is emerging more frequently.

Created a machine for a friend using an Aerus X570 board and an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X. She encountered issues similar to mine. I came across this article: it describes the issue clearly with the same hardware but possibly on different boards. As mentioned, usually RAM is the culprit. Experiment with RAM configurations after confirming compatibility. Consider enabling XMP if not active, or turning it off and lowering the clock speed to test.

Thanks! They didn't work together. I replaced the RAM and everything ran smoothly.

Well, what do you think?... Lots of folks have said QVL doesn't really matter... Anyway, OP, you're welcome... You don’t realize how much trouble this has caused me. Random POST issues, completely disassembled twelve times in four months trying to fix it before sending the board back for repair, only to discover the RAM wasn’t even QVL’d for either the Asus TUF B550-PLUS or the ASRock B450M-HDV they had. Now I’ve reassembled my 5900X with QVL RAM and it’s working fine so far. Same goes for the 3600X on the ASRock B450M. Now I’m focusing on my old 1700 rig, which uses the same Ballistix kit (also not a QVL item). Each DIMM is behaving differently. It’s been running like that for about two years, but getting it up and running has been frustrating. I thought it was the board, but I’m pretty sure the MSI B450M Bazooka could be cleared with a proper QVL kit. Still, I believe their support team is pretty rude and not very helpful.
