No it's not. I would assume the power supply is shutting it self off due to a short. Have you tried very carefully removing the plug from the motherboard without touching the case or IO shield. If the phone is connected somewhere internally, so not in the back but directly on the motherboard, a shutdown would be normal but should not be attempted, ever.
