Your computer is experiencing unexpected shutdowns that restart randomly, occurring every few days now. The issue isn’t tied to specific tasks or games and seems unrelated to the performance of either the CPU or GPU. I have a Ryzen 9 7900X and an RTX 3060. It might be due to a significant bottleneck between the components, causing the GPU to run at full capacity while the CPU can’t keep up. This is just a hypothesis—I’m not sure of other possible causes.

It might not be due to a CPU-GPU bottleneck. Could other components like the motherboard, power supply, RAM be the issue?

It's not highly improbable, a hardware limitation can definitely cause the PC to crash. A bottleneck merely slows things down, not stops them entirely. This isn't a true bottleneck—it's just a normal performance dip. Your GPU should be fully using its capacity. I suggest first using DDU to update your drivers, then try a slightly older version to check if the problem continues.

Random restarts often stem from RAM issues, except for sudden power failures—review the event viewer. It might be unstable RAM or inconsistent RAM sticks from various kits. Rule number one: avoid mixing RAM from different kits; instability is almost guaranteed. This isn’t necessarily true here, but I’ve experienced frequent random restarts before switching to two DIMMs from the same manufacturer. As mentioned earlier, bottlenecks affect performance, not system stability.
