System shutting down during gameplay on a PC
When I started BF6 this morning, I managed to play for roughly three minutes before the usual shutdown occurred. After rebooting, I couldn't launch a match before the system cut out. While navigating the menu, alt-tabbing opened Discord and the Discord app, both felt slow and the mouse froze, with the cursor stuck. Despite this, BF6 remained open on my main screen, showing active menu animations. Then I encountered those error screens I’d previously reported. After returning home, I swapped the RAM, thinking it would fix things. The PC played BF6 flawlessly—no crashes or BSODs. It continued for about three hours of playtime, and after that, the issue vanished, likely a memory problem. Now I’m uncertain, considering replacing the PSU, but swapping the RAM did work. I currently have two 16GB X5 DDR5 6000 CL sticks from G Skill, and my friend provided two 16GB G Skill Hynix DDR5 6000 F5-6000J3038F16G RAM modules.
\Windows\Minidump for any existing files. If present, move the Minidump folder to Downloads (or use your desktop if OneDrive isn't available). Compress the folder and send it in a message. The BSOD could be unrelated since power loss might damage files, but further investigation is needed. Scanned event logs and found most unexpected shutdowns weren't BSODs, suggesting they aren't directly tied. You experienced IRQL_Not_Less_Or_Equal BSODs and a Driver_Power_State_Failure. A hardware error was logged (WHEA event) pointing to the WD10EZEX-60WN4A0 drive—consider disconnecting it if possible.
