You recently installed a new PC with a 5950x graphics card, 3080 Ti processor, 32GB DDR4 RAM, an X570 Phantom gaming motherboard, and a 1000W PSU. When launching games, the system suddenly shuts down and restarts. You've tried Warzone, Fortnite, War Thunder, and Overwatch. Assistance would be very helpful.

First, verify all connections: CPU power and GPU power on the motherboard, GPU ports on the PSU. Ensure other cables are securely inserted and your GPU is fully in place. Use monitoring tools like HWMonitor to check idle temperatures. Confirm hardware is functioning properly before moving to software fixes. Perform a clean reinstall of video drivers. If games still cause restarts, inspect BIOS settings for anomalies such as memory performance. If BIOS appears normal, run benchmark tests like 3D Mark or Cinebench to stress the system and detect issues. This should help guide your troubleshooting.

Your PC struggles to launch any CoD titles. When trying to start the game, it displays a black screen and restarts. Other games function normally, but you've observed unusual GPU activity—clock spikes reaching 9700Mhz while idle. This could indicate overheating or instability. Your system specs are: 5950x ASUS TUF GAMING 3080ti x570, Wi-Fi, 32GB DDR4, 3600/1000W PSU.

Have you recently reinstalled the code, possibly due to corruption? Which components are affected, such as the crucial P2 1Tb NVMe M.2 drive?

You can look for them at the specified location or ask for more details on where to obtain them.

They seem unnecessary if they don’t exist for download. I suggest reinstalling GPU drivers after using DDU to remove them. If that fails and you’re playing older CoD titles, try newer versions based on DirectX 12. Otherwise, check other games for compatibility and reach out to support. Contacting CoD support directly would be wise since their products are proprietary. If nothing works, reinstalling Windows might help. As a final option, return the card via RMA, but only if all else fails. There are many frustrating RMA experiences with GPUs during shortages.

It could be many factors at play. I’d begin by using a benchmark that maximizes GPU usage for a long time. If it succeeds, you might consider trying...

I restored the driver after cleaning with ddu, and the newer CoDs are now starting up. Warzone and Vanguard still display a black screen before rebooting.
