Someone could assist you with your unstable PC. It's been this way for months, but now it's becoming bothersome. It doesn't crash during games, only when idle or while watching videos, and it happens randomly. The CPU is 7950x, GPU 4070ti, motherboard Auros Pro AX B650, PSU RM850. RAM is G.Skill F5 -6000J3238F16GX2, RIPJAWS S5 16GBX2 at 6000MHZ. I've tried turning off C-states and XMP settings, but nothing stops these random crashes. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Have you refreshed the BIOS? What kind of failure occurred? Is it a blue screen of death?

You're asking about the specific error you're seeing, like a BSOD or reset. Are you trying to undervolt with Curve Optimizer? What settings are your monitors using, and do they restart when you switch to the onboard graphics instead of the 4070 Ti?

BIOS has been fully updated. The crashes occur in two ways: either a complete system freeze, requiring the machine to be powered off using the main power source, or a black screen with the power LED on the case turning off. I haven’t applied any undervolting or similar adjustments since I’m not very experienced with these settings. The issue doesn’t seem to be related to the monitor configuration. The crashes appear random, sometimes happening and other times not, making it difficult to reproduce specific scenarios. However, I’ve used the same GPU with a 3700x and an AM4 motherboard for months without any problems, which suggests the problem might not be with the GPU itself.

You pointed out that idle and YouTube watching cause the GPU to switch power modes, and this behavior varies based on your monitor settings like refresh rate or multiple displays.

Consider eliminating the GPU and try using the CPU's integrated graphics.

Also consider checking peripherals, USB and storage. At idle some devices may enter a low power mode, leading to problems when they resume operation.

Apologies for the delayed response. Since each test takes several days to verify, I have a confirmed positive result from one test. I haven’t yet checked the GPU removal, but I adjusted the minimum processor state from 0% to 100%, and it hasn’t crashed in over a week. Considering it used to crash every day, this doesn’t seem like a coincidence. What do you think is the problem? Could it be a defective component?

I've been waiting nearly a month without any crashes after adjusting the minimum processor state to 100%. It's a bit puzzling, what's really going on?
