Hi, I updated my computer's RAM from 2GB to 4GB using DDR3. It runs an Intel Core i3 3rd generation processor. The machine would restart after a blue screen appeared, so I tried booting in safe mode but now it shows a persistent blue screen with messages like “remove new hardware.” I’m unsure of the exact motherboard model since it’s ASUS and only has two RAM slots. Could you assist? Also, your GPU is an NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GTI—let me know if that affects performance.

It's a fresh setup. The RAM came in a box with no indication it had been used previously.

It’s either a faulty RAM module (or it doesn’t fit your setup) or the motherboard RAM slot isn’t working properly. Here are some possibilities: swap out the existing RAM and test it, or bring in a new identical RAM unit to match your current setup.
