Hi, I was running my PC and then it crashed without a BSOD. After shutting it down and turning it back on, it restarted three times before staying off with no display. The keyboard and mouse didn’t light up at all. It was an AMD Ryzen 3 2200G with Corsair Vengeance 16GB, 3600MHz, Gigabyte GTX 1060, 3GB RAM, Asus B450M-A, and a 3600W PSU.
That's rather strange, did you try in different slots? Maybe one of them is fried. Could also be dead cpu or gpu, try running integrated graphics instead of the gpu, could work if the gpu is at fault. If without gpu problem still persists, try plugging out all drives to see if you can atleast get to bios. If that also doesn't work, there are 3 possible problems: Cpu dead Motherboard dead PSU dead In this case the part most likely will need to be replaced. One other thing to try before is to reattach EVERY cable that's related to power, cpu cable, motherboard, gpu, etc. This is a common problem as well. Also you could try reseating cpu if it nothing helped, though you will need new thermal paste.
This document outlines an effective method for diagnosing a non-booting PC, making it useful to keep for future reference.
The GPU functions since my brother is operating it, though I believe the CPU might be responsible. I’ll attempt what you mentioned.
It might be the issue, please exercise caution—voltage sensitivity matters. Raising it too much could damage the CPU.
I sold my PC for 300 and am thinking about purchasing a dirt bike this summer. When I return to school, I’ll sell whatever I acquire to get a new PC, though the sales process was tough since I’ve invested so much time. I’ve worked hard to reach this point, but now I need to move forward.
