GPU is a Gigabyte RX 7800 XT, CPU is AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, motherboard is AsRock B550M Pro4, BIOS version is P3.40 (1/18/2024), RAM is 32GB DDR4 3200 with XMP enabled, power supply is Corsair 750e, case is Corsair 4000D, operating system is Windows 10 (22H2 [19045.4894]), drivers for GPU are AMD Adrenaline 24.8.1 (released 8/23/2024). I recently assembled this system a few days ago. I’ve been playing less demanding titles like D2R and Tarkov. Satisfactory launches smoothly, but after the intro cutscene my screen goes black and the PC restarts. I’ve experienced multiple BSODs and crashes once. Tarkov lets me play raids for about 20 minutes before the same restart happens. Other ARPGs or “lightweight” games seem to work without issues except occasional frame drops. CPU temperatures stay around 75°C max, GPU around 65°C at full load (as set by game settings). The system boots and runs normally outside games, and I’ve applied the latest Windows updates. I’ve checked all drivers and updated them, but I’m stuck and need guidance. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

It seems you may need to thoroughly test your hardware. Possible issues could include faulty RAM, a defective motherboard, or a problematic GPU. Or there might be problems with the Windows installation, drivers, or other software. Typically, in a fresh build, RAM is the most common problem. I suggest using Memtest86+ (Windows USB installer) for at least 24 hours—long enough if you're experiencing issues. Once that's done, perform a GPU stress test like Furmark. If it crashes within two hours, it indicates a serious problem. Otherwise, it’s good. Keep an eye on temperatures closely! https://geeks3d.com/furmark/ There’s also OCCT, a comprehensive tool for stability and stress testing. It’s worth trying several times.

Consider a PSU failure. Use a spare or limit power to your gear, verify all connections, steer clear of daisy-chained cables. This unit should be reliable (assuming RM750e), though anything can malfunction or arrive faulty. If you can pinpoint the issue to the PSU, request a return merchandise authorization. Memory problems might occur—try disabling XMP settings. Larger capacities like 32GB can strain the IMC based on your setup.

I finished a 30-minute stress test using Furmark while their CPU burner was active simultaneously. This enabled the CPU to hit 100% utilization at 90°C without any issues. I recognize the importance of longer stress tests. I’ll begin with the 24-hour RAM test since that appears to be the typical recommendation here. I’ll post an update in about 24 hours. Good luck!

After updating the BIOS, the XMP configuration was deleted and everything was reset to defaults, but the restart problem persisted. That's unfortunate with the RM750e.
