While playing Valheim, my computer froze and the monitors went dark. The fans sped up to maximum, and I had to use the PSU to shut it down. This reminds me of a problem with New World when it launched, so far I’ve used DDU to reset the GPU drivers and reinstall them. It seems like the issue might be similar to what EVGA reported with this model. I’m hoping it’s not that the GPU is failing completely, since a previous GPU with matching specs worked before.

Turn off XMP to see some improvement, though it won't fix everything. The real answer is to upgrade to different RAM (avoid Corsair) and ensure it matches the motherboard's specifications. A different power supply might also help, perhaps Corsair RMX or HX models. It could also be related to the game itself.

It seems the issue was likely due to RAM, and it only happened once recently.

The last failure occurred in June while testing the jump space demo, it happened twice, so I removed the game right away.
