My pc tends to freeze and then display a black screen for a few seconds, after which it returns to normal. This usually happens while editing in Premiere Pro or playing Dota 2, but not when I’m just browsing. Once the screen clears, the Premiere Pro video appears black and I need to restart the program for it to normalize. I’ve attempted to update drivers, rolled them back, reinstalled the video card drivers using DDU, swapped my old graphics card for the new one, upgraded RAM from 16GB to 32GB, ran a memory diagnostic, performed an SFC scan, checked storage health, and even upgraded the CPU from R5 2600 to R7 5700x along with updating BIOS. It took a few days before everything worked again, but it still happens occasionally. What other factors might be contributing to this issue?
It seems you've mostly finished clearing issues with drives, PSU, display, and motherboard. Make sure to check the drives using the Kingston tool and the manufacturer's tool as well. Eventually, update the firmware if it's available. Also, inspect the display cable and monitor—try various options or a TV and HDMI connection. Are there any power outages in your area? Consider using a different PSU.
Hello! I wanted to note that I've also updated my PSU, which was actually the first one I changed. I've also experimented with swapping the monitor and HDMI cable, but it still works.
