System service exception (version 3b) for NTFS.sys
So, I was playing my summer car and had to do something, so I let my PC take over. When I came back, I checked the log screen. After investigating why I ended up there, I discovered it crashed and showed error codes as the main issue. The most surprising part was that the crash was caused by the game itself, which really confused me. If you need, I can try sending the minidump to you.
If that is the BSOD you experienced, it may indicate a corrupted system file.
Attempt to run SFC: The SFC tool will check for and repair damaged system files, such as Ntfs.sys. To perform SFC, open Command Prompt with admin privileges and type sfc /scannow.
I attempted that as well as DISM, but nothing was found. I also encountered another bsod PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (50).
Module Name: dxgkrnl
Image Name: dxgkrnl.sys
Process Name: msedge.exe
I’m hoping it won’t enter its “Im gonna bsod every 30 minutes” mode, or else I’ll lose it. Last month it had issues with everything, couldn’t play for more than 20 minutes, so I’m worried it might be acting up again.
I keep an eye on them; the GPU reaches its limit at 64 and the CPU just fluctuates because it's an older Intel model 😂 but it still maintains the maximum I observed, which was 80 before dropping to 72 and then 60 so, the temperature readings aren't very precise.
i just performed a stress test on the cpu and it reached a maximum of 74 degrees celsius, which remains within acceptable limits—definitely okay.
Likely yes, unless the CPU has actually started to fail due to overheating. If the issue keeps coming up, removing the cover and adding airflow might help. If it doesn’t happen, it gives a clear indication of what’s wrong.
I believe the PC is merely testing my nerves or it might be malware, though Malwarebytes confirmed it's clean.
